Babil: The Integrity Commission has arrested four employees from Babil Electricity following the disappearance of costly feeder circuit breakers. The Federal Integrity Commission disclosed that the detained employees, who work for the Ministry of Electricity in Babil Governorate, are accused of intentionally damaging their employer’s financial interests.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a specialized team from the Babil Investigation Office was assembled to probe reports of the missing feeder circuit breakers at a local power station. The Commission’s statement specified that the investigation team, after securing a judicial warrant, proceeded to the Al-Mahawil power station. There, they apprehended the four station supervisors believed to be responsible for the missing equipment. The team also confiscated logs and documents pertinent to the case, including the breaker logs and visitor records. It was noted that the value of the missing circuit breakers was substantial.

The Commission further reported that an official document was prepared detailing the operation and presented to the Hilla Investigation Court, which handles integrity-related cases. The court judge has ordered the detention of the accused individuals under Article (340) of the Penal Code, pending further investigation.
