Basra: The Basra Writers and Authors Union recently celebrated the experience of the Thaghr Al-Fayhaa Foundation for Culture and Media in a cultural session dedicated to reviewing the foundation’s journey and its significant role in Basra’s cultural scene.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session was moderated by Ali Al-Imara, the head of the Basra Writers and Authors Union, who highlighted the foundation’s active role in enriching Basra’s cultural landscape. He noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to revisit the various cultural and creative experiences the foundation has witnessed.

Jassim Mohammed Al-Muhammadawi, the head of the Thaghr Al-Fayhaa Foundation, discussed the inception of the foundation, its operational paths, and its guiding goals since its launch. He reviewed significant milestones that have contributed to establishing the foundation’s cultural and media presence.

Several members of the foundation shared their beginnings and experiences, recounting how they joined the organization and recalling important milestones and memories that shaped their cultural journeys. They stressed the importance of collaborative work in creating a genuine and sustainable cultural presence.

The session included an open dialogue with attendees, addressing the current state of the cultural scene in Basra and the role of cultural institutions and initiatives in supporting creative individuals and sustaining literary and media activity in the province.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the Thaghr Al-Fayhaa Foundation in recognition of its contributions, efforts, and activities that have enriched Basra’s cultural and media landscape.
