Baghdad: A kidnapped girl from Baghdad was successfully freed in Diwaniyah, thanks to the efforts of the Diwaniyah Anti-Crime Unit. The operation was led by the unit’s director and resulted in the rescue of a 15-year-old girl from Baghdad Governorate, who had been abducted several days earlier.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diwaniyah Police issued a press release detailing the operation. The rescue mission commenced after the girl’s family reported her presence in a district of Diwaniyah Governorate. In response, the police chief swiftly organized a security task force, which he led personally, comprising several specialized officers and personnel dedicated to investigating, gathering information, and locating the girl.

Through dedicated security and intelligence efforts, the task force managed to pinpoint the girl’s location and reach the site in under three hours. The operation culminated in a raid on the house, where the kidnapped girl was found, and the suspect involved in the kidnapping was apprehended.
