Wasit: Minister of Agriculture Abdul Rahim al-Shammari arrived in Wasit Governorate to inspect the agricultural situation and review the preparation of high-grade seeds. During his visit, he met with Governor Ali Salimoun to discuss the current state of agriculture in the governorate and explore ways to enhance agricultural production.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Shammari also toured the seed purification and treatment plant operated by the Mesopotamia General Company for Seeds. He was accompanied by the company’s Director General, Dr. Hadi Hashim al-Yassiri, and several specialists. The tour included a review of the work progress in the plant’s warehouses and facilities.

Al-Shammari informed NINA that the plant had prepared 1,500 tons of high-grade seeds ready for distribution to farmers in the governorate. He emphasized the importance of providing necessary agricultural supplies to support the production process, highlighting the government’s commitment to boosting agricultural productivity in the region.
