Baghdad: The Ministry of Environment engaged in discussions with the Federal Board of Supreme Audit regarding the observations on the draft audit report for 2024 during a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters. This meeting saw the participation of numerous officials and specialists from both entities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Samir Helou Al-Muhammadawi, Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department at the Ministry of Environment, remarked that the meeting involved an in-depth discussion of the observations in the draft report. He also highlighted the provision of official responses and clarifications from the ministry on the topics under review.

Dr. Al-Muhammadawi noted that several issues were addressed and resolved during the discussions, which led to their removal from the draft report. He emphasized that the document discussed was a draft, and the Federal Board of Supreme Audit will release the final report after completing necessary procedures.

The Ministry of Environment reiterated its commitment to collaborating with regulatory bodies, enhancing institutional operations, and adhering to regulatory observations.
