Nineveh: Owners of private gas stations in Nineveh have firmly rejected allegations of fuel smuggling amid ongoing concerns over fuel distribution within the province. Akram Abdul-Haq, spokesperson for the private gas station owners, emphasized during a press conference that the fuel allocations are not proportional to the number of stations operating in Nineveh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdul-Haq highlighted the disparity in fuel distribution between private and government-owned stations. He revealed that the 153 private stations in Nineveh receive approximately 900,000 liters of fuel, with deliveries occurring every two days. In stark contrast, the 36 government-owned stations receive around 2.4 million liters, with up to five deliveries each day.

Abdul-Haq pointed out that these figures reveal a significant imbalance in the fuel supply, urging the relevant authorities to reassess the distribution mechanisms. He called for an investigation into the reasons behind this discrepancy, rather than resorting to accusations of smuggling against the private station owners.
