Iraqi Government Advances Ministerial Program Amid Global Engagement

Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi affirmed on Monday that the Iraqi government is proceeding with its ministerial program and Iraq’s openness to the world. Al-Aboudi received the Charg© d’Affaires of the United Kingdom’s Embassy in Iraq, Robin Milton, at his office.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed ‘developing cooperative and friendly relations between the two countries and continuing the partnership in the areas of counterterrorism and exchanging information and expertise, in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries.’

Al-Aboudi emphasized that the government of Ali al-Zaidi is collaborating with its partners to restore stability to the region and achieve sustainable peace. He explained that the aftermath of conflicts and wars harms the region and undermines efforts aimed at sustainable development and economic recovery worldwide.

Moreover, he highlighted that the Iraqi government is proceeding with its ministerial program, with a primary focus on Iraq’s openness to the world and attracting investment companies to Iraq. In response, Milton expressed the United Kingdom’s readiness to support the Iraqi government and its efforts to combat corruption and promote security, stability, and sustainable development.
