Amedi: President Nizar Amedi emphasized today the importance of supporting the government in completing the formation of the cabinet and implementing its program. A statement from the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that “President Nizar Amedi received members of the political bureau of the Sumerian Movement in Baghdad. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the country’s general situation, stressing the necessity of national unity and consolidating stability to confront regional and international challenges.”
According to Iraqi News Agency, the President emphasized “the importance of supporting the government in completing the formation of the cabinet and enabling it to implement its government program, thereby enhancing the efficiency of institutional performance and responding to national priorities.” He also stressed “the necessity of continuing reform efforts to strengthen citizens’ trust in state institutions, meet their needs, and improve the level of services.”
The President of the Republic indicated that “the next phase requires the integration of national efforts and the unification of positions, working with a spirit of responsibility to prioritize the higher interest of Iraqis, consolidate the foundations of political, economic, and social stability, and respond to the aspirations of citizens.”
For their part, members of the political bureau of the Sumerian Movement affirmed “the movement’s commitment to adopting a language of dialogue and understanding among political forces in addressing local issues and files, and creating a suitable environment for proceeding with the implementation of upcoming obligations,” praising “the role of the President of the Republic in bringing together the viewpoints of the political forces and strengthening national consensus.”
