Baghdad: Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali and senior Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) official Hoshyar Zebari have emphasized the significance of dialogue in resolving ongoing issues between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Sheikh Al-Khazali’s media office detailed that he met with Hoshyar Zebari, a senior official and member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, in Baghdad. The meeting included discussions aimed at strengthening relations, addressing common issues, and exploring opportunities to enhance communication and cooperation on national matters. It further focused on coordinating efforts to support the government and ensure the success of its initiatives.

The statement highlighted that both leaders agreed dialogue is the most effective approach to address the unresolved issues between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region. It also noted that the guests commended Sheikh Al-Khazali for his candidness, clear positions, and unwavering defense of the country’s interests without resorting to formalities.
