Baghdad: The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Engineer Mohammed Hantoush Asad Al-Azirjawi, recently met with a delegation from the Chinese company ZPEC, led by its Iraq branch manager, to discuss potential areas for joint cooperation and development between the two entities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s media office reported that the discussions focused on enhancing the existing collaborative efforts in Kirkuk and the possibility of extending cooperation to other oil fields across Iraq. This move aims to open new avenues for partnership and capitalize on the skills and expertise that both parties bring to the table.

The Director General underscored the Iraqi Drilling Company’s dedication to broadening its operational scope and bolstering partnerships with distinguished international companies. Such collaborations are expected to boost operational activities and make effective use of the company’s substantial experience in executing drilling and development projects, along with providing essential oilfield services.

Members of the ZPEC delegation conveyed their eagerness to advance the current partnership with the Iraqi Drilling Company. They highlighted the importance of expanding joint efforts across various Iraqi oil fields, which would foster a sustainable partnership that aligns with mutual interests and supports the progression of Iraq’s oil industry.
