Baghdad: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities has officially opened nominations for the 11th edition of the Iraqi Creativity Award, set for 2026. Iraqi creators are called upon to submit their entries in accordance with the established guidelines and using the application form provided by the Ministry.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, submissions will be accepted from today and will continue until the close of official working hours on October 30, 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, specifically the Department of Festivals and Cultural Events. Applicants must submit their works and required materials based on the field they wish to compete in and adhere to the specified nomination requirements.

The Higher Committee for the Iraqi Creativity Award, led by Acting Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Sarwa Abdul Wahid, has approved the competitive categories for this edition. These include poetry, novel, short story, critical studies, linguistic studies, children’s literature, translation, visual arts, theater, feature and documentary films, musical composition, Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation, archaeological and heritage studies, digital creativity, cultural content creation, photography, graphic design, multimedia, and biographical literature.

In addition to the competitive categories, the award also recognizes several honorary categories: Cultural Creativity Personality, Best Tourism Company, Best Tourism Facility, Best Chef, Best Youth Cultural Initiative, and Best Digital Cultural Platform.

The Ministry urges applicants to thoroughly review the terms and conditions, adhere to the specific requirements for each field, and ensure submissions are made within the specified deadlines.
