Baghdad: The fourth Arab Summit for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is scheduled to take place in Baghdad from November 18 to 20, 2026. The event will occur at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds, organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the Ministry of Planning. It will be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and in collaboration with the Central Bank of Iraq. The summit will operate under the theme “Accelerated Growth and Sustainable Entrepreneurial Success.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the summit aims to bolster SMEs and startups by enhancing their access to financing and markets. It also plans to leverage digital transformation and artificial intelligence, alongside fostering partnerships and growth opportunities. In a press release, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research emphasized these objectives, highlighting the importance of digital tools and AI in modern business landscapes.

The summit will offer registration and participation through an online link, inviting stakeholders and entrepreneurs to engage in discussions that could shape the future of SMEs in the region. By focusing on critical areas such as digital transformation, the summit seeks to provide a platform for substantial dialogue and collaboration among key players in the SME sector.
