Baghdad: The Speaker of the Council of Parliament, Haibet Alhalbousi, met with the Minister of Oil, Basim Mohammed Khudair al-Abbadi, on Wednesday to discuss critical issues concerning Iraq’s oil sector.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the discussions concentrated on evaluating the current state of the oil sector in Iraq. The focus was on the Ministry of Oil’s strategic plans and programs designed to increase production capacities and enhance Iraq’s export capabilities. The Media Office of the Speaker of Parliament emphasized the significance of these discussions in a statement received by the agency.

The statement further indicated that the meeting highlighted the importance of developing the oil sector’s infrastructure.
