Tripoli: The Charg© d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, announced on Thursday that procedures had begun to voluntarily repatriate three Iraqis who entered Libya illegally.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sahhaf stated that coordination procedures have been initiated with the Government of National Unity after the three Iraqis were located. He mentioned that efforts are continuing through the relevant authorities in Tripoli to determine the whereabouts of other Iraqis who enter Libya illegally.

Al-Sahhaf noted that procedures to verify the Iraqi nationality of the three individuals have been completed and steps have begun for their voluntary return to Iraq.
