Kirkuk: The Kirkuk Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Directorate, in collaboration with the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Narcotics Directorate, has successfully apprehended a drug trafficker and seized a notable quantity of narcotics. The operation resulted in the confiscation of one kilogram of “Magic Mushrooms,” a narcotic substance, along with two kilograms of marijuana in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate General has confirmed in a statement that drug networks within the region are now under stringent control. The statement emphasized that despite attempts by traffickers to disguise their operations through the use of unusual names, new drug forms, or by altering drug names and methods, these networks will find no refuge. The Directorate’s efforts reflect a commitment to dismantling such networks and preventing the proliferation of narcotics, ensuring that these substances do not find a safe haven in the area.
