Baghdad: The National Security Service has uncovered significant violations during the second-round exams for the preparatory stage. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service reported that it is actively carrying out its intelligence and field duties to secure the exams and maintain their integrity. During the current examination period, 35 violations were recorded in Baghdad and various provinces.

In Basra, the Service’s detachments discovered a clandestine workshop dedicated to manufacturing earpieces and electronic cheating equipment inside a house in the northern part of the province. Two suspects were arrested, and a substantial amount of devices, equipment, and wires intended for cheating were seized.

These efforts have led to the detection of several notable cases. In Fallujah, Anbar province, a suspect was arrested while receiving $2,000 to deceive students into believing he could raise their grades. Additionally, two students in Ramadi were apprehended for impersonating others to take exams. In Kirkuk, incidents of electronic cheating using earpieces and frequencies were identified inside examination centers.

As part of enhanced oversight measures, the agency’s detachments conducted joint campaigns, resulting in the closure of several unlicensed private tutoring institutes in Diyala and Kirkuk. Furthermore, four unlicensed institutes were closed west of Baghdad. The operations are set to continue throughout the examination period.
