Baghdad: A motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run accident south of Hillah, the capital of Babil Governorate, early Friday morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Traffic Media Director, Brigadier General Zaher Mohammed, stated, “A truck struck a motorcycle in the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi district south of Hillah, resulting in the immediate death of the motorcyclist.”

He added that the police transported the body to the forensic medicine department, and the truck driver was subsequently arrested.
