The rusafa: Narcotics Affairs Directorate, in cooperation with the Sulaymaniyah Narcotics Affairs Directorate, arrested members of an international drug trafficking network after a security operation that began in a neighboring country and ended in Sulaymaniyah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs stated in a press release: “The operation resulted in the seizure of 260 kilograms of Captagon pills and the arrest of two suspects, one of whom is a foreign national.”

It explained: “The operation was carried out four months ago, but its announcement was postponed for intelligence and investigative reasons, to complete tracking the network’s reach and activities and to apprehend all its members.”
