Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its air defense forces and systems intercepted and destroyed 490 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory and the Black Sea in a single night.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry explained in an official statement that the interception and destruction operations were carried out by air defense units on duty between 8:00 PM Moscow time yesterday and 8:00 AM this morning.

The statement further detailed that the fixed-wing drones targeted wide geographical areas including the Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Volgograd, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Orenburg, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Samara, Smolensk, and Tula regions. Additionally, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, the Republics of Bashkortostan and Crimea, and the territorial waters of the Black Sea were also targeted.
