Gaza city: Palestinian Civil Defense teams have successfully recovered 55 bodies from the rubble of a house bombed by Israel nearly two years ago. The house, owned by the Malaka family, was located in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and was reportedly sheltering more than 60 displaced individuals at the time of the bombing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Colonel Muhammad Abu Dan, who supervises the project to recover the bodies of martyrs, stated that the Civil Defense teams are continuing their search for additional bodies under the rubble for the third consecutive day. Most of the victims have been recovered, and preparations are underway for a funeral procession early next week.

The search operations face significant challenges due to a severe shortage of equipment and heavy machinery required to remove the debris. Colonel Abu Dan has appealed to international and humanitarian organizations for assistance, specifically requesting excavators, bulldozers, and modern trucks to aid the teams in reaching bodies and missing persons beneath the destroyed buildings.
