Baghdad: A man was arrested in Baghdad on charges of practicing witchcraft and sorcery. Police forces arrested a man in Baghdad on suspicion of practicing witchcraft and sorcery.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Rusafa Police Command stated in a press release: “The arrest was made after receiving information about the suspect practicing these acts with the intent to defraud citizens. A team was formed, arrested him, and seized materials and tools used in witchcraft and sorcery.”

The statement added: “The suspect has been detained pending legal proceedings.”
