Mosul: The governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil, has directed efforts to accelerate the development of the riverfront in Mosul, emphasizing its importance as an urban and recreational hub.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dakhil reiterated the ongoing commitment to the riverfront’s reconstruction, emphasizing its role in enhancing the urban landscape and improving services for families and visitors along the Tigris River. The project includes the rehabilitation of damaged sites, addressing building conditions, and improving areas adjacent to the waterfront as part of broader Mosul reconstruction plans.

Al-Dakhil further elaborated that the riverfront development is synchronized with other service and development projects aimed at revitalizing areas along the Tigris River. This initiative is expected to boost domestic tourism and provide residents with spaces for relaxation and recreation.

These initiatives align with the Nineveh government’s broader directives to strengthen infrastructure and transform the riverfront into a more attractive and lively urban area.
