Baghdad: The Training and Development Committee of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate organized a workshop focused on the integration of artificial intelligence in the media sector. The event saw participation from Muayyad Al-Lami, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Khalid Jassim, President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, along with council members, journalists from numerous media outlets, and academics.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Muayyad Al-Lami highlighted the significance of this initiative, noting it as a pioneering effort in the current session. He emphasized the growing influence of artificial intelligence across various domains such as politics, society, economy, and education, underscoring its role in shaping the future and reaching new global frontiers. Al-Lami stressed the importance of media as the foundation for promoting and interacting with AI, urging the Iraqi journalistic community to develop a clear vision and methodology to adapt to this new era of media evolution.

The workshop, led by trainer Ashraf Karim, covered several key areas where artificial intelligence can be employed by journalists. Topics included AI-powered language correction, newsroom management applications, and guidelines for crafting commands in AI applications, alongside an overview of prominent AI tools.
