Tehran: Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters announced on Saturday that Iranian strikes against US ships would intensify if Washington continued its hostile actions and blockade.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a spokesperson for the headquarters stated, “If its hostile actions continue, causing insecurity and harassment of Iranian ships, and imposing a naval blockade on Iran, the strikes by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran against US warships in the region will be more severe than before, and there is a possibility of escalation.”
US Central Command (CENTCOM) revealed on Saturday that it had destroyed three oil tankers belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) after Iran targeted two US Navy warships. CENTCOM stated in a post on its X platform that its forces conducted airstrikes against three Iranian crude oil tankers on September 5th, after the IRGC launched ballistic missiles at two US Navy warships patrolling international waters.
CENTCOM added, “A U.S. aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer successfully thwarted several unprovoked Iranian attacks. No U.S. personnel were injured.”
