Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi has extended his condolences following the passing of Abdul Wahid Ibrahim al-Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani, the elder brother of the Barzani family.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi expressed deep sorrow and grief upon receiving the news of Abdul Wahid Ibrahim al-Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani’s passing. In his statement, al-Halbousi conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, and to the family, relatives, and loved ones of the deceased. He prayed for God Almighty to grant them patience and solace, and to show mercy to Abdul Wahid Abdul Salam Barzani by granting him a place in Paradise.
