Karbala: A demonstration took place in front of the parliament office in Karbala, where contract workers gathered to demand permanent employment status.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, dozens of contract teachers participated in the demonstration in the holy city of Karbala. The demonstrators are seeking permanent employment, similar to what their counterparts in other departments have received. The legal director of the parliament office, Abbas al-Kamber, met with the protestors and assured them that their demands would be relayed to the Karbala representatives in Parliament.
