Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has announced a significant weather shift over the coming days, with temperatures expected to drop and rainfall anticipated in certain regions. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization released a statement outlining the forecast, which predicts generally clear weather for Tuesday, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds in the central region. These winds could reach speeds of up to 30 km/h, causing light dust in the area. Temperature readings for Tuesday are expected to remain consistent in the central region while showing a slight decrease in the northern and southern parts.

The forecast detailed maximum temperatures for Tuesday across various Iraqi governorates: Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah are expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius, Nineveh and Kirkuk 39 degrees, Erbil and Anbar 38 degrees, Salah al-Din 40 degrees, and Baghdad, Diyala, and Karbala 41 degrees. In the southern regions, Babylon and Najaf will experience 42 degrees, Wasit, Diwaniyah, and Muthanna 43 degrees, Maysan 44 degrees, and Dhi Qar and Basra 45 degrees.

Wednesday’s weather is anticipated to remain clear in the central and northern regions, with some cloud cover in the southern areas. Winds will be light and variable, with temperatures comparable to the previous day. Thursday will see clear skies in the central and southern regions, while the northern region will experience partly cloudy conditions. Temperatures on Thursday are expected to rise slightly from Wednesday.

By Friday, the central region will see partly cloudy conditions, while the southern region will remain clear. Light rain is forecasted for the northern region, accompanied by cloudy skies. Winds will vary, being light to moderate northwesterly in the central and southern areas and southeasterly in the eastern parts. In the northern region, winds will be light and variable. Temperatures on Friday are projected to remain similar to Thursday’s.
