Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Karim Hammadi, met with the head of the National Investment Commission (NIC), Adel Al-Yassiri, to discuss mechanisms for joint cooperation in covering new city projects and the one million land plots initiative, as well as resolving the issue of the land plot allocated to network employees.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Adel Al-Yassiri emphasized the significance of the meeting, highlighting the focus on collaboration between the Investment Commission and the Iraqi Media Network. Discussions revolved around the Commission’s achievements and strategies to mitigate the difficulties it faces. Al-Yassiri outlined a comprehensive work program for the future, aligning with the government program of the Prime Minister.

Regarding the Bismayah project, Al-Yassiri revealed that the allocation process is ongoing, targeting over 8,000 employees with allocations of 150 people per batch. An investment proposal will be presented for the remaining 70,000 housing units in the project. Additionally, NIC is advancing plans for 15 modern cities announced by the Prime Minister, aiming to prepare designs and announce them as investment opportunities.

Karim Hammadi, head of the IMN, stated post-meeting that discussions centered on mechanisms for covering the Authority’s work, in line with the Prime Minister’s directives on new cities. A shared understanding was reached, forming joint committees to ensure comprehensive coverage and public communication regarding the new cities and the million-plot land initiative.

Hammadi emphasized the goal of clarifying registration and purchase procedures to facilitate processes for citizens, particularly those with limited income. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to address previous shortcomings in the Authority’s work and enhance investment-related activities.
