Iraqi Airways Reports Over 232,000 Passengers in August via 1,684 Flights


Baghdad: Iraqi Airways announced that it operated 1,684 direct flights during the month of August, carrying more than 232,000 passengers, indicating a growing demand for travel via the national carrier.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s Director General, Mustafa Talib, stated in a press release that these results come within the framework of operational plans aimed at expanding the network of destinations and improving service efficiency. This aligns with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Wahab al-Hassani, to enhance the presence of Iraqi Airways regionally and internationally.



Talib further explained that the company continues to work on developing the fleet, introducing new destinations, and improving service levels. These efforts are expected to contribute to increasing flights and passengers, thereby enhancing the national carrier’s ability to meet the growing demand for travel in the coming period.
