Baghdad: The Ministry of Defense announced the suicide of a colonel at Camp Taji. In a statement, the Ministry explained that: “The necessary legal and procedural measures have been taken regarding the circumstances of the suicide of Colonel Mushtaq Ali Ubaid al-Bahadli, commander of the 63rd Brigade of the 1st Special Forces Division, inside his office at Camp Taji. The relevant authorities and forensic experts arrived at the scene and began the investigation and evidence collection process to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the incident.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense confirmed that: “The results of the investigations and technical procedures being conducted by the relevant authorities will be announced as soon as the investigations are completed.”
