Diwaniyah Agricultural Sector Bolstered with New Irrigation Systems


Diwaniyah: The Director of Agriculture in Diwaniyah, Haider Al-Mahna, announced a significant development for the local agricultural sector. The Diwaniyah Governorate has received 274 center-pivot irrigation systems from the Ministry of Agriculture, a move aimed at supporting and enhancing agricultural productivity in the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mahna emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that the agriculture department is actively working on raising awareness and educating the public about the benefits of adopting modern irrigation technologies. These systems are crucial in conserving water and addressing the ongoing challenges of water scarcity faced by the region.



Al-Mahna further noted that the Diwaniyah agriculture department has implemented training programs to highlight the necessity of using these advanced irrigation systems. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to modernize agricultural practices and ensure sustainable water management in the governorate.
