Baghdad: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced in a statement on Tuesday the capture of a US drone submarine in the Strait of Hormuz. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement from the Revolutionary Guard detailed the successful operation carried out by their naval forces, which resulted in the seizure of one of the US military’s most advanced drone submarines at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement emphasized the complexity of the operation, highlighting the intelligence and operational superiority demonstrated by the Revolutionary Guard. It further described the captured drone submarine as being equipped with the latest global technologies in the field of submarines, noting that it had been delivered to the US Navy in 2025.
