Baghdad: The National Security Service has announced the launch of the “Mayiz” platform, a groundbreaking tool designed to identify methods of online deception and fraud.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a press conference, National Security Service spokesman Arshad al-Hakim declared the inauguration of the “Mayiz” platform. Al-Hakim emphasized that this initiative is the first of its kind in Iraq, aimed at raising awareness about the risks associated with artificial intelligence and deepfakes. The platform seeks to enhance citizens’ capabilities to verify digital content.

Al-Hakim elaborated that the “Mayiz” platform offers users an interactive experience to distinguish between genuine and fake images, videos, and audio. It also helps identify various methods of online deception and fraud, providing a crucial tool for individuals navigating the complex digital landscape.
