Erbil: Diyala football team failed to secure three points after losing to Erbil 2-0 in the sixth round of the Iraqi Stars League. The first half of the match, played at Franso Hariri Stadium, ended with Erbil leading 1-0, thanks to a goal by Shibr Ali in the 15th minute.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Diyala’s Abdul Wasea Al-Matari was sent off in the 26th minute for dangerous play, forcing his team to play with ten men. The score remained unchanged until the 90+6th minute when Ibrahim Bayesh added a second goal from a penalty kick.
