Istanbul: Turkish Airlines has announced that it will become the main partner of Liverpool Football Club, effective June 1, 2027.
According to a statement released by Turkish Airlines’ media department on Tuesday, the Turkish Airlines logo will appear on the front of the jerseys of Liverpool’s men’s, women’s, and academy teams, starting with the 2027-2028 season.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, The agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter in the club’s commercial history and is its first change of main partner in 17 years. Turkish Airlines General Manager Ahmet Olmustur expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting Liverpool’s status as one of the most famous and respected football clubs with a vast global fan base. Olmustur emphasized that the collaboration with Liverpool, a club with a rich history, aligns with Turkish Airlines’ identity of connecting people, cultures, and continents.
Olmustur added, “We are delighted to become the club’s main partner and to have our brand appear on one of the most iconic jerseys in the world of sports.” He further noted that the agreement represents a significant milestone in Turkish Airlines’ support for global sports.
For his part, Liverpool’s Director of Commercial Affairs, Ben Latty, described the agreement as a significant milestone for the club. Latty acknowledged the historical significance of the Liverpool shirt and recognized Turkish Airlines as a renowned global organization with an extensive international network. He expressed eagerness to launch the partnership and build a strong, lasting relationship.
