Ankara: Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus met with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Hebat al-Halbousi in Ankara on Tuesday. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed relations between Turkey and Iraq and ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, as well as an exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The meeting is scheduled to be followed by extensive talks between the Turkish and Iraqi parliamentary delegations to explore prospects for developing cooperation between the two legislative bodies, with the aim of strengthening relations between the two countries and serving the interests of their friendly peoples.
Kurtulmus and al-Halbousi are scheduled to hold a joint press conference after their discussions.
