Baghdad: The head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, affirmed Iraq’s firm and unwavering position in supporting the Palestinian cause.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition stated in a press release that Al-Sudani received the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Iraq, Samar Awadallah, along with a delegation from the Union of Palestinian Writers. During this meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and discussed the humanitarian challenges faced by the Palestinian people.

Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the just struggle of the Palestinian people until they achieve all their legitimate rights and establish an independent state. Ambassador Awadallah expressed her appreciation for Iraq’s steadfast position, both at the official and popular levels, in supporting the Palestinian cause. She also commended the Iraqi Writers Union for its role in strengthening cultural and literary cooperation with its Palestinian counterpart and amplifying the voice of the Palestinian cause in various forums, with the support of Iraqi cultural circles.
