Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed that the government has developed plans and policies to elevate the economy and development in Iraq. A statement from the Prime Minister’s office said: “Al-Zaidi received, on Tuesday, the head of the State Forces Alliance parliamentary bloc, Ali Shaddad al-Jurani, and members of the bloc.” During the meeting, several issues and files related to the economic, service, and health sectors in the provinces were discussed, along with the government’s determination to strengthen and improve the efficiency of these vital sectors.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister stated that there are important draft laws awaiting approval by the Council of Representatives. These include the draft law for the Food and Drug Authority and the draft law for the Popular Mobilization Forces. Al-Zaidi emphasized the development of plans and policies aimed at addressing economic challenges and elevating the economy and development in Iraq. He also affirmed his intention to visit all provinces to follow up on projects and assess their economic and service conditions.
