Madrid: Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Inter Milan in their Champions League group stage opener on Tuesday night at the Santiago Bernab©u.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Kylian Mbapp© opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 14th minute, followed by a goal from Fede Valverde in the 23rd minute. Inter Milan’s Carlos Augusto managed to pull one back in the 77th minute, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Real Madrid from claiming the win.

In other matches from the same round, Borussia Dortmund defeated Villarreal 3-2, Manchester City secured a 2-0 victory over Porto, and Real Betis staged a comeback to defeat Lille 3-2.
