Baghdad: The First Deputy Governor of Basra, Engineer Zaid Al-Imara, received Mustafa Tarfi, the new Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra, marking the start of Tarfi’s official duties in the governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance joint cooperation and develop bilateral relations. The discussions aimed at serving mutual interests and supporting prospects for increased cooperation between Basra and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
