Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, has called for the establishment of a comprehensive Islamic framework aimed at preserving the unity of Iraqi society and maintaining the national identity. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi met with Abdul Qadir al-Husseini al-Alusi, head of the Council of Scholars of the Muhammadan Ribat, to discuss recent developments in the country. Their discussion highlighted the crucial role of religious and intellectual institutions in safeguarding societal identity and unity, as well as the need to combat hate speech and prevent sectarian conflict.
