Karbala: President Nizar Amidi arrived in the holy city of Karbala today. A presidential statement indicated that the president was received by the Governor of Karbala, Nassif Jassim al-Khattabi, the head of the provincial council, Qasim al-Yassari, and a number of officials and heads of administrative units.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the president’s visit to Karbala comes within the framework of the presidency’s interest in the Iraqi provinces, its direct assessment of their conditions and needs, and its support for the efforts of local governments to provide the best services to citizens and promote development and stability.
