Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi visited the Al-Noor Factory for the Production of Solar Panels, managed by the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine in Karbala, on Wednesday, where he reviewed its production lines, manufacturing capabilities and plans for expansion.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement that ‘President Amedi toured the factory and examined the stages involved in producing solar energy systems. He also received a briefing on its production capacity, the technologies it uses and plans to further develop and expand its operations.’
‘Investment in renewable energy is an important part of strengthening Iraq’s energy security,’ Amedi said, stressing the need to support projects that use modern technologies and provide sustainable solutions to meet the needs of citizens and institutions.
The President added: ‘Expanding solar energy projects can help diversify Iraq’s energy sources and reduce reliance on conventional fuels, while limiting environmental impacts and supporting sustainable development.’
The President praised the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine for its role in developing industrial, scientific and development projects and for harnessing available resources and modern technology to serve the community.
