Basra: Basra Emergency Police arrested a suspect for drug trafficking. The Basra Police Command stated in a press release that patrols from the Al-Ashar Emergency Unit apprehended a suspect for drug trafficking and seized narcotics in his possession during a security operation within the district.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added, “The necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect, and he has been referred to the relevant authorities to complete the legal proceedings against him.”
