President Amidi Advocates for Modern Agricultural Investment in Karbala


Karbala: President Nizar Amidi has underscored the importance of fostering agricultural investment and the integration of modern technologies within the sector to boost production and generate employment opportunities.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi visited the Fadak Palm Farm in Karbala, where he examined the farm’s approach to cultivating and producing several date varieties. During his visit, he engaged with farm managers who detailed the innovative methods deployed to enhance agricultural output and improve the quality of dates.



President Amidi commended the efforts of the Imam Hussein Shrine in advancing the agricultural sector. He stressed the significance of supporting projects that contribute to the development of agricultural resources and diversify date production. Dates are a key crop that highlights the agricultural identity of the Karbala Governorate and Iraq as a whole.



He reiterated the necessity of promoting agricultural investment and modern technological applications to increase production, create jobs, bolster the national economy, and strengthen the presence of Iraqi products in both local and international markets.
