Foreign Minister Emphasizes Expanding Iraq-France Cooperation in Key Areas

Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of France’s Ambassador to Iraq, Alexandre Garcia, stressing the importance of broadening the horizons of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Foreign Ministry’s media office released a statement detailing the meeting between Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and Ambassador Alexandre Garcia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the minister praised the bilateral relations between Iraq and France and emphasized the need to develop and advance these relations to serve the common interests of both nations and their peoples.

The minister highlighted the significance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields and expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest. This approach aims to advance the relations between Iraq and France.

In response, the French ambassador underscored France’s commitment to strengthening relations with Iraq and developing bilateral cooperation. He praised the level of existing relations between the two countries and expressed France’s readiness to support efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation to pursue their common interests.
