Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, with Kadhim Taklif al-Moussawi, the head of its monitoring committee, took part in the Baghdad Diwan for Professional and Syndicate Elites conference. The event, which occurred under the auspices of Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Wisdom Movement, saw the participation of professional syndicate leaders and their representatives, alongside several political and media figures.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference focused on addressing issues and challenges confronting professional syndicates. The discussions spotlighted the increasing number of students enrolling in private universities and colleges, which presents significant challenges in providing adequate job opportunities and employment for graduates. Participants explored strategies to tackle these issues, aiming to develop solutions that support professional syndicates while enhancing their role in serving their members. Additionally, the conference emphasized the importance of creating better opportunities for graduates, enabling them to effectively apply their skills and specializations in the labor market.
