Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate is organizing a specialized practical session entitled ‘Artificial Intelligence and the use of its tools and technologies in journalistic and media work.’

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session was organized under the supervision of Muayad Al-Lami, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, and Khaled Jassim, Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. It focused on modern artificial intelligence tools and their potential applications in journalistic and media work, aiming to develop the skills of media professionals amid rapid technological changes.

The session highlighted the importance of integrating artificial intelligence tools at various stages of journalistic work, including research, information gathering, verification, content preparation, and media production and publishing methods. Participants were reminded to adhere to professional and ethical standards when using these technologies.

Engagement and discussions among participants addressed the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, emphasizing the need for new professional and technical skills that align with modern media demands.
