Basra: The interim administrative committee of Al-Minaa Sports Club has terminated the duties of team supervisor Adel Nasser Shukroun and team manager Ali Fadel, according to an official document signed by the head of the interim committee, Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Shukroun and Fadel were relieved of their duties within the team. An informed source clarified that the action came after they submitted their resignations from the positions of supervisor and manager, respectively, and not as a result of dismissal in the commonly understood sense. The source explained that the resignations were due to personal circumstances.
The source added that the interim committee is considering several options for selecting the new administrative lineup for the team, noting that Bashar Hadi Ahmed currently serves as the financial secretary of the administrative committee, which may lead to the selection of another individual for the position of team supervisor, while Bashar’s name remains among the options.
The source also indicated that Omar Alaa Ahmed is among the names being considered for the position of team manager, emphasizing that all these options remain under discussion until an official decision is issued to finalize the appointments.
