Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has forecasted a drop in temperatures along with an increase in cloud cover in the northern regions over the coming days. The weather on Monday is expected to be generally clear, with some cloud presence in the northeastern parts of the northern region, and temperatures will remain similar to those of the previous day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization provided specific maximum temperature forecasts for Monday across various Iraqi governorates. The temperatures are anticipated to be 37°C in Dohuk and Sulaimaniyah, 39°C in Erbil, 41°C in Nineveh, 40°C in Kirkuk, and 42°C in Anbar. Higher temperatures are expected in Salah al-Din, Baghdad, Diyala, Babylon, and Karbala at 43°C, while Najaf and Diwaniyah are set to reach 44°C. The highest temperatures are predicted in Wasit, Muthanna, Dhi Qar, Maysan, and Basra at 45°C.

The forecast also suggests a slight decrease in temperatures on Tuesday, with the weather remaining generally clear and some clouds appearing in the northern region. The statement concluded by noting that Wednesday and Thursday are expected to maintain similar clear conditions with temperatures consistent with earlier days of the week.
